Atlas — last updated 21 October 2026
Atlas is a personal AI assistant operated by a single individual for their own use. There is exactly one user: the owner of the Google account that authorises it. Atlas has no other users, no signup, and is not offered to the public.
Only after the owner grants consent, and only the scopes the owner approves:
Data retrieved from Google is processed on the owner's own computer and, where the owner asks for a summarisation or a draft, passed to the large-language-model provider configured by the owner in order to produce that response.
Data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no user profiling. Nothing is transferred to any party other than the model provider the owner has explicitly configured.
OAuth tokens are stored locally on the owner's machine with owner-only file permissions. Derived notes are stored in the owner's local knowledge base. The owner can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately invalidates the stored token. Deleting local files removes the retained data.
Atlas's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalised or non-personalised AI/ML models, and is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the feature the owner requested.
